burning down the house

When we began this journey, we had no idea how a simple evening of Talking Heads music could explode a Goldrush town! Is it 80’s nostalgia? Zeitgeist for the Millenials? Why do old people and kids scramble and jump at this show?

Two and a half hours does not seem to do it for this performance - three sets including an opening act - punky anthems like “Psycho Killer,” “Life During Wartime,” and “Pulled Up” lead to dips in the “River” and “Stay Up Late.” But the sweet spot of this robust ensemble brings you “Remain in Light” and “Speaking in Tongues” cuts in all their frenetic, sub-continental drive and complexity. Mind-blowing show.

A party show for all ages. Not a dull foot in the house and may want to cover the furniture and remove the ceiling in advance.
